When taking care of a dragonet, the toughest part is the fact that they are finicky eaters. If you start to train them when they are still young, you can get them to eat frozen food – but your best bet is to feed them live food. You should try to feed them live brines, mysfids, and tubifex worms – and after you feed them, you should watch to make sure they actually get their food. As the dragonet is such a timid fish, it will sometimes get its food eaten by other fish before it has a chance to eat the food itself.

A dragonet will be a great addition to your tank if you have a tank with other friendly fish; just make sure you give them enough sand, and feed them well!
